I am the founder of AccentAccurate accent reduction training, dedicated to working with non-native English speakers who have a heavy accent when communicating in American English. AccentAccurate is based in the U.S., but I work virtually one-on-one with clients from around the world. They are all non-native English speakers who need to communicate well to do their jobs, and cannot afford to be held back in their careers by a strong foreign accent.
My clients have a decent command of the English language, but have difficulty being understood. They want their listeners to be able to focus on what they are saying without being distracted and confused by a strong foreign accent. I have worked with clients whose native language is Spanish, Portuguese, French, Polish, Gujarati, Hindi, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese, to name a few.
I am a speech-language pathologist, nationally certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and have more than 25 years of professional experience. I received a B.S. in Communication Disorders from Tel Aviv University and an M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Boston University, and have advanced training in Accent Modification. Additionally, I grew up bilingual in Israel and coach accent reduction for non-native Hebrew speakers who are working or studying in that country.
